Russia is preparing a missile strike on the "Transnistrian Moldavian Republic" with civilian casualties
Residents of the unrecognized "Transnistrian Moldavian Republic" receive SMSs on behalf of the Armed Forces and special services of Ukraine. They contain a warning about a "missile and artillery" strike on the territory of the "Transnistrian region".
▪ Quote from a fake message:
"Ukraine's Security Service urges the evacuation of civilians to safer regions. We assure you that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not wish harm to civilians, but the people who remained in the cities will be perceived as sabotage groups and will be eliminated without warning. Exactly at 19.00 rocket and artillery shelling of objects on the territory of the republic will be carried out ".
▪These messages are actively covered by Russian propaganda information resources.
▪Note: the state of Ukraine has nothing to do with this and similar provocations.
▪ Such fakes and incidents, which are likely to take place on the territory of the Transnistrian region, are nothing more than another provocation of the Russian special services against Ukraine and Moldova.
Situation in unrecognized Transnistria: PMR reactions from Moldova, Russia and Ukraine (Updated)
The situation in unrecognized Transnistria is escalating. On the evening of April 25, there were reports of explosions at the Ministry of Security of the Transnistrian region in Tiraspol, and on the morning of April 26, the tower of a radio and television center near the village of Mayak was blown up. This information was later confirmed by the "Ministry of Internal Affairs" of the self-proclaimed republic.
In the afternoon of April 26, in unrecognized Transnistria, a third attack was announced on the territory of the so-called "republic", carried out on a military unit near the village of Parkany. This was reported by the press service of the self-proclaimed "president" of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky, writes "European Truth".
The report says that Krasnoselsky held a meeting of the so-called "Security Council", which decided to introduce a "red" level of terrorist threat in the country.
The following restrictions will apply in the separatist part of Moldova after the meeting of the Security Council, RBC-Ukraine reports :
- "power structures" are transferred to the strengthened mode of service;
- checkpoints will be set up in cities. During the day, random inspections will be conducted, and at night - all those who enter the settlements;
- educational institutions are transferred to distance mode by the end of the school year;
- the parade is canceled until May 9.
After reports of explosions in Transnistria, queues of cars formed at checkpoints in the direction of leaving for Moldova.
Due to the events in Transnistria, the President of Moldova Maya Sandu convened a meeting of the High Security Council at 13:00 on April 26. Following his results, the head of state will give a briefing.
The leader of Moldova made a statement following the meeting of the High Security Council, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Agora . Sandu called the deteriorating situation in Transnistria the result of "tensions between different forces" within the region. They are interested in destabilization. "This fact makes the region vulnerable and poses risks to Moldova. We condemn any provocations and attempts to involve Moldova in actions that threaten peace in the country. Chisinau still insists on a peaceful solution to the Transnistrian conflict," she said.
The Kremlin is closely monitoring the situation in unrecognized Transnistria. The press secretary of the president of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov reported about it, informs Censor.NET with reference to "RIA Novosti". The news coming from there is worrying, Peskov said.
The explosions in the Transnistrian region are a planned provocation by Russian special services, the Central Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said in a statement.
According to the intelligence, the explosions did not come as a surprise to the PMR leadership: It was about the urgent (until 16.00 on the same day) preparation of information on the availability and location of "protected point of civil defense of the city." Indicating:
- Name of the object;
- Accommodation addresses;
- Type of protective structure
In the absence of such an item, the question of its urgent creation was raised.
That is, three days before the incident, the leaders of "PMR" were already preparing for it and took care of the installation of a secure and comfortable bunker. "
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that this case is one of a number of provocative measures organized by the FSB to instill panic and anti-Ukrainian sentiment. According to the authors, they should justify the war on the territory of Ukraine or involve the Transnistrian region in hostilities. Either as a territory with a certain mobilization reserve, or as a territory from which Russian troops can carry out attacks on Ukrainian territory.
It will be recalled that on April 22, Deputy Commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, Major General Rustam Minnekayev announced plans for an unrecognized "TMR". He said that the Russian army has the task of "establishing full control over Donbass and southern Ukraine." After that, the occupiers must break through the corridor to the unrecognized "Transnistrian region", where "the facts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population are noted."
Mikhail Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the president's office, wrote on Twitter that Russia was trying to destabilize the situation in the Transnistrian region and was hinting to Moldova to wait for the "guests".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a statement on the situation in Transnistria.
"We are concerned about attempts to aggravate the security situation in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova.
The wave of reports on April 21-26 about the demining of educational institutions, the attack on the building of the so-called "Ministry of State Security", the destruction of two radio towers in Grigoriopol district and explosions at Tiraspol airfield coincided with statements by the Russian military command. land corridor with the Transnistrian region of Moldova.
Ukraine strongly supports Moldova's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, condemns desperate attempts to drag Moldova's Transnistrian region into a full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, and calls for de-escalation of tensions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continues to closely monitor the further development of events. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are reliably defending our state and are ready to destroy any further insidious plans of the aggressor on Ukrainian territory, including in the South Bug direction, "the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
