The 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade is a unit of Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Based in Mykolaiv. In 2014, the brigade participated in the defense of the Donetsk airport. A unit of the 79th brigade under the command of Maksym Myrhorodskyi also took part in the battles for Debaltseve.
