Satellite images show the destroyed Russian base near Dzhankoy

Satellite images of the consequences of yesterday's explosions in the occupied Crimea have appeared. The photos show what remained after the detonation at the Russian ammunition depot in the village of Maiske, Dzhankoy district.

The journalist of the "Schemes" project, Kyrylo Ovsyany, published the first satellite images of the military base.

On the morning of August 16, explosions occurred at an ammunition warehouse near Dzhankoy in the Crimea temporarily occupied by Russia .

In the photo from August 15, it can be seen that the territory of the Russian military unit is filled with objects that could be military equipment or ammunition storage places.

In the picture from August 16, it is recorded that all objects on the territory of the base in the village of Maiske are destroyed or even completely missing. Smoke can still be seen rising above the part.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the morning explosions near Dzhankoy occurred allegedly as a result of sabotage.

Also, a video appeared on the network showing how the explosions took place at the "Azovska" railway station in the area.

There was Russian military equipment, in particular the Grad anti-aircraft missile system and boxes of various ammunition. The shooting date of this video is unknown.

At this railway station, weapons and ammunition were loaded onto echelons for the provision of Russian troops in Ukraine.

Subsequently, the New York Times, citing a high-ranking Ukrainian official , wrote that an "elite Ukrainian unit" was involved in the explosions near Dzhankoy.

A number of Ukrainian politicians also hinted at Ukraine's involvement in the destruction of the enemy's arsenal.
