The 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign is a military formation of mechanized troops of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Since 2019, it has had an honorary name in honor of the Knights of the Winter Campaign - participants of the First Winter Campaign, raiding operations in the rear of the Red and Volunteer Armies during the First Liberation War. On February 25, 2022, during the repulse of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the 28th separate mechanized brigade entered into battle with the enemy, who tried to land a sea and air landing in the area of the village of Kobleve on the Black Sea coast of Mykolaiv region. The enemy's attempt to land an amphibious assault was stopped. The enemy retreated.
