During a vacation in the United Kingdom, medics of Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps provided emergency medical aid to a man injured in a traffic accident. Thanks to their timely and professional response, the victim was stabilized before the arrival of local paramedics.

Heroes on Leave

The incident occurred in London, where service members Sofia, Mivina, and Rebekah — medics of the 3rd Army Corps — were passing by the scene of a car crash in a taxi.
Without hesitation, they stopped the vehicle and rushed to help the injured man.

They stopped the bleeding, applied a bandage, and monitored his vital signs until an ambulance arrived.

“The man suffered serious injuries, but our medics managed to stabilize him on the spot thanks to their swift and coordinated actions,” the 3rd Army Corps reported.

After receiving first aid, the victim was quickly transported to a local hospital.

Always on Duty — Even Abroad

The soldiers were in London to attend the presentation of a biographical film within the “VARTA” project, but even far from the front line, they remained true to their mission — saving lives.

The Corps emphasizes that tactical medicine is one of its core competencies and part of the unit’s DNA.

“Tactical medicine is our foundation. The ‘Third’ is always ready — anywhere, anytime,” the military statement reads.

A Symbol of Professionalism

This incident once again demonstrated the exceptional training and dedication of Ukrainian medics. Even thousands of kilometers from the battlefield, they continue to embody the spirit of service and humanity — always ready to save lives, wherever they are.
