A senior US intelligence official said eight to ten Russian generals have died during the war in Ukraine.
The head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lieutenant General Scott Berrier, shared this assessment Tuesday during a Senate committee hearing.
Berrier told the senators that due to the peculiarities of the structure of the Russian military (the absence of an analogue of the US sergeant corps), generals have to go to war zones, where they find themselves in dangerous positions.
