Pilot Version of “E-Protez” Online Hub Launched in Ukraine

E-Protez is a digital hub designed for people with limb amputations, offering consultations, guidance on choosing prosthetics, assistance in securing funding, and support through the rehabilitation process. The project is being developed with the support of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation and brings together verified information about rehabilitation centers, prosthetics manufacturers, and aid funds.

Work on E-Protez began in 2024. The first stage included a pilot launch featuring a landing page with a knowledge base and a Telegram chatbot providing consultations on key prosthetics-related questions.

Based on the data collected, the team is now developing a full-fledged application with prosthetics roadmaps, integration with government services, and the option for partner funds to get involved. Even now, the online hub offers users a wide range of educational materials—from legal advice to physical rehabilitation tips. The knowledge base and contact list are continuously expanding.

The goal of E-Protez is to make access to quality information and technical support as simple and humane as possible. The service is aimed at both injured military personnel and civilians with amputations.

Developers emphasize modern technological solutions, integrating artificial intelligence to make interactions with the chatbot as natural and empathetic as possible. In the near future, the team aims to reach at least 5,000 users and help 2,500 of them complete the full journey from first consultation to prosthetic fitting.

The dissemination of the chatbot and information support for the project are provided by Business Incubator Group. Ukraine (BIG.U), which is responsible for expanding the partner network, communicating with communities, and attracting new users.

“E-Protez is an important step toward building a modern, inclusive support system that will help thousands of Ukrainians return to a full life,” said Andrii Matiukha, founder of the namesake foundation.

Alongside E-Protez, the Andrii Matiukha Foundation is implementing other long-term initiatives, including purchasing advanced surgical equipment for Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital and supporting the rehabilitation of wounded service members. The foundation’s mission is to assist those affected by the war by creating systemic solutions for their adaptation and recovery.
