Never Afraid to Go Where It Was Dangerous Ukrainian photographer and soldier Konstantyn Huzenko, known for his work with the media project Ukraїner, was killed in action on the frontline.

The news was confirmed by Bogdan Logvynenko, founder of Ukraїner and Huzenko’s friend and colleague.

“Kostia, thank you for everything, thank you for being you. I still can’t believe you’re gone. My condolences to your family and to the entire Ukraїner community,” wrote Logvynenko.

Huzenko joined Ukraїner in 2020 as a photographer. Together with the team, he traveled across Ukraine — to the South, East, and North — often working in dangerous areas where few others dared to go.

“When I’m shooting during expeditions, I know I’m where I belong. It’s hard to even call it work — there’s so much genuine cooperation that it becomes pure satisfaction,” he once said about his experience at Ukraїner.

From the Camera to the Frontline

After the full-scale invasion, Huzenko joined the Ukrainian Marines. Friends and colleagues say he was never afraid of danger and was always ready to go wherever he was needed most.

He was killed on November 2, 2025, during a combat mission on the frontlines.
The date and place of burial will be announced later.

Honoring His Memory

Colleagues from Ukraїner remember Konstantyn as a person of integrity, vision, and empathy — someone who captured the truth about Ukraine through his lens.

Ukraine Continues to Lose Its Best

In recent weeks, Ukraine has suffered the loss of many defenders and journalists:

  • Vladyslav Tork, 21, from Ivano-Frankivsk region, a fighter with the GUR “Kraken” unit.

  • Volodymyr “Znakhari” Sviatnenko, 43, killed during a missile strike while on duty.

  • Journalists Olena Hubanova and Yevhen Karmazin, killed in a Russian drone strike in Kramatorsk.

  • Bohdan Budai, a journalist from Kryvyi Rih, who died in the line of duty.

Konstantyn Huzenko will be remembered as a man of light, courage, and dedication, who carried Ukraine in every frame he captured — and fought for it until his last breath.
