Another training session under the Complex program was held in Poltava. First aid training brought together 33 participants from local sports schools and clubs.
The program is part of a larger initiative by Favbet Foundation and FAST: First Aid and Special Training, aimed at promoting a culture of safety in Ukrainian sports.

Participants included representatives from the Poltava Sports Training Center, O. Butovsky Youth Sports School, ZOH Youth Sports School Kolos, the National Deaflympic Team of Ukraine, the Poltava Regional Organization of FST Spartak, and FC Vorskla. They learned how to act in the first critical minutes of an emergency, when the right decisions can save lives.
The program covered assessing a victim’s condition, protocols for critical bleeding, respiratory arrest, and other emergencies. Participants studied the theory and practiced the skills hands-on.

“We are used to thinking of a coach as someone who shapes character and results. Today, they must also be the first to provide help in a critical moment. Athlete safety is the foundation of sports development. That’s why we launched this project together with FAST,” emphasized Andrii Matiukha, President of Favbet Foundation.
The program has already reached different regions of Ukraine, bringing together hundreds of participants. Trainees have included athletes from Rivne, the national shooting team in Vinnytsia, biathletes from Chernihiv, hockey players from the Sea Wolves club, and students of the Ivan Piddubny Olympic College.
The project organizers are moving purposefully toward an ambitious goal — to involve about 1,800 participants nationwide in the Complex program by the end of the year.
“The ability to save a life should be a basic skill for everyone in the sports community. There’s no need to explain why. These are precisely the skills we aim to provide to every coach and athlete. We support this program across the country. Poltava is just the next step — and there’s more to come,” commented Favbet Foundation.

Favbet Foundation was established in 2020 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Andrii Matiukha. From the very beginning, the foundation’s mission has been to give young people more opportunities for growth. The team actively invests in developing educational and sports infrastructure for the younger generation of Ukrainians.
