In Russia, they announced the shelling of their military unit near the city of Klintsi in the Bryansk region. The governor of the region, Oleksandr Bogomaz, said that the attack on the territory of the Russian Federation was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, Russian air defense allegedly shot down the missile.
"Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted an attack on the territory of the city of Klyntsi. As a result of the operation of air defense systems, the missile was destroyed, some parts fell into the territory of the industrial zone," Bogomaz wrote in Telegram.
The governor of the Russian region assures that there are no casualties or damage as a result of the alleged attack, and emergency services are currently working at the scene.
However, in Russian social networks and propaganda telegram channels, videos and photos with footage of the consequences of an attack on a military unit near Klintsi, Bryansk region, appeared.
Russian publics claim that military equipment damaged during the war with Ukraine is being repaired on the territory of this military unit.
The released footage shows a large gash in the ground several meters deep next to a vehicle parking lot and a building on the territory of a Russian military facility.
According to one version of the Russians, the strike was carried out by a ballistic missile of the " Point-U " operational-tactical complex.
This is not the first time that a similar situation has occurred in the area of the settlement of Klintsy, Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. So, on June 11 of this year, after a powerful explosion at a military facility, a fire broke out in a parking lot with military equipment.
Klintsi is a city of regional subordination in Russia , it is the administrative center of Klintsi district of Bryansk region. The city is located almost 50 km from the border with Ukraine and 160 km from Bryansk. Military unit No. 12721 is located in the settlement.
