In the evening of July 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Antoniv bridge in temporarily occupied Kherson. Natalya Gumenyuk, spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, confirmed this on the air of the national telethon.

"The work of our artillery is so delicate and jewel-like that it is more aimed at demoralizing the enemy's troops. That is why there were strikes on the Antonivsky Bridge. But they were filigree," she said.

According to her, our defenders are keeping strategically important logistical and transport routes under fire control, which are of critical importance to the enemy. This does not give him the opportunity to maneuver, pull up forces and ammunition.

Humeniuk emphasized that the Ukrainian army is not destroying the infrastructure of our country, but the plans of the enemy.

A video of a possible attack on the Antonivskyi Bridge was published online.

It should be noted that the Antonivsky bridge is one of the two crossing points across the Dnipro. With them, Russia can supply or withdraw its troops to the territory it occupied west of the river. This zone includes Kherson. If the Armed Forces destroy the bridge, the occupiers will actually be surrounded.

We will remind, on July 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck enemy positions near the Antoniv bridge in temporarily occupied Kherson.
