Ukrainian Air Defense Forces Destroyed 15 of 35 Enemy Kamikaze Drones Overnight on January 30th

According to MyUkraineis, this was reported in a briefing by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posted on its Facebook page.

"During the night, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 35 Shahed-136/131 type strike UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). The air defense forces and means destroyed 15 enemy drones," the message stated. Later, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that on the night of January 30th, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 35 Shahed-136/131 type strike UAVs from three directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk (Russia), Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea) and with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles in Donetsk region.

The forces and means of the Air Forces, in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 15 enemy UAVs within Mykolaiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Kyiv regions.

Part of the strike UAVs were directed by the enemy at front-line territories, attempting to hit infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector, civilian and military facilities near the front line and the state border with Russia.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.

It should be noted that during the past day, there were 70 combat clashes on the front. The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out strikes in 20 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
