As a result of hostilities on August 25 at 12:12 in the Zaporizhzhya NPP area, the PL-750 kV Dniprovska overhead line was disconnected. Because of this, power unit No. 5 of the Zaporizhzhya NPP was disconnected from the network with subsequent tripping of the emergency protection, power unit No. 6 was switched to powering its own needs.
This is reported by the State Nuclear Regulation Inspection of Ukraine.
At 12:29 p.m., after the PL-750 kV "Dniprovska" overhead line was restored, power unit No. 6 of the "Zaporizka NPP" VP was connected to the network. At 2:14 p.m., the Dniprovska PL-750 kV overhead line was disconnected again.
As a result of this event, power unit No. 6 of Zaporizhzhya NPP was disconnected from the network with the subsequent activation of emergency protection.
