Normalisation of EU relations with Vladimir Putin is impossible

Even after the end of hostilities in Ukraine there is no chance that EU relations with Vladimir Putin will be normalised.
This was stated by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
We have introduced six packages of sanctions that seriously undermine the Russian economy more and more over time. Therefore, it is impossible for us to return to normal relations with Putin.
This was stated by the head of the European Commission in an interview with Ukrainian TV presenter Natalia Moseychuk.
This is how she responded to the question of whether the EU is afraid of Russia and whether they are trying to "save face" to the Russian president.
Putin is the man on whose conscience this awful criminal war is. He is a criminal and as a criminal he must pay the price he made us pay. Pay for the damage he has done, Ursula von der Leyen said.
