The Russian Federation placed a target vessel near the bridge connecting occupied Crimea and the Taman Peninsula.

Photos and videos of the vessel were published in early July by local media.

The Russians placed a project 436BYS(R) target ship near the Crimean bridge.

This is a non-self-propelled vessel with a length of 45 m and a width of 8 m, built at the "Sokol Shipyard" in the Nizhnegorod region.

Reflectors are installed on the nine masts, which simulate the effective scattering area of the ship. The target is intended for testing anti-ship missiles.

Probably, the Russians are serious about discussions in the Ukrainian information space about the destruction of the Crimean bridge.

Most likely, the target is located on the northern side of the bridge, waiting to be hit by coastal missile systems that are in the arsenal of the Armed Forces. In particular, the Russians probably expect that the Harpoon anti-missile homing head will react to the target.
