The Russians began to use chemical weapons in the direction of Bakhmut - Zhorin

Russian occupying troops in the Bakhmut direction began to use chemical weapons against Ukrainian soldiers.

This was written by the former commander of the "Azov" regiment, Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zhorin in Telegram.

According to him, in the Bakhmut direction, part of the heights are under the control of Ukrainian forces, while part is still in the process.

"The enemy is trying to resist - mainly at the expense of new units arriving for reinforcements. But it's still not possible to hold the position," the soldier said.

He also said that "in a state of hysteria" the Russians started using chemical weapons.

"Both in our unit and in other units there are already confirmed cases of poisoning. Aviation is also very active in our positions," Zhorin wrote.

It will be recalled that Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the eastern group of troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the counteroffensive in the Bakhmut direction was a success.

The Institute for the Study of War stated that due to the offensive of the Armed Forces, the Russians are transferring forces from other directions to Bakhmut .

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar stated that the situation in the Bakhmut direction has worsened again.
