Ukrainian Defense Forces Repel Enemy Attacks on Six Fronts, Encounter 59 Engagements in a Day

Over the course of a day, there were 59 combat encounters on the front, with Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelling attacks on six different directions. According to MyUkraineis, this information was shared by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, providing an operational update as of 18:00 on Sunday, February 4th.
The Russian army carried out 32 aerial strikes and conducted 37 rocket artillery barrages on Ukrainian troop positions and civilian settlements. Overall, there were 59 combat encounters on the front during the day, as reported by the General Staff. The operational situation in the east and south of the country remains complex.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation is unchanged with no signs of the formation of offensive groupings. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are carrying out tasks in the border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains military presence in the border areas, engages in reconnaissance and sabotage activities, shells settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Mala Vovcha, Ustynivka, Vilkhuvatka, and Kolodyazne in Kharkiv Oblast. More than 35 settlements, including Klyusi, Baranivka, Hremyach, Bogdanove in Chernihiv Oblast; Volodymyrivka, Stepok, Pokrovka, Hrabovske in Sumy Oblast; Veselе, Gatyshche, Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast, suffered artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. It carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne, and Pischane in Kharkiv Oblast. About 15 settlements, including Synkivka, Tabaivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks near Terny in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy tried to breach the Ukrainian forces' defense. Around 15 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling, including Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Yampilivka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut direction, Defense Forces repelled three attacks near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to improve its tactical position. Over 10 settlements, including Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York in Donetsk Oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, defenders repelled 21 attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and ten more attacks near Tоnenke, Severne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast, where the enemy, with aviation support, tried to breach the defense. More than 15 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Maryinka direction, Defense Forces continued to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. Here, the invaders, with aviation support, unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position five times. Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Heorhiivka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. It carried out an aerial strike in the area of Staromayorske in Donetsk Oblast. About 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Zolota Niva in Donetsk Oblast, suffered artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Defense Forces repelled two attacks north of Pryiutne and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to breach the Ukrainian troops' defense. Artillery and mortar shelling affected 30 settlements, including Poltavka, Chervone, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
In the Odesa direction on the Kherson front, the enemy persisted in its attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Two unsuccessful assault attempts on Ukrainian positions were made during the day.
The city of Kherson and settlements in the region – Tokarivka, Darivka, Dniprovskе – were under enemy artillery and mortar fire. The enemy also shelled areas of Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Krynky in Kherson Oblast with rocket artillery.
During the day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation struck five areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
As reported by MyUkraineis, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 6640 Russian invaders and 924 units of enemy equipment and armaments over the past week, including an aircraft, a ship, 63 tanks, and 234 artillery systems.
