Regular speeding: a people's deputy from "Batkivshchyna" Andrii Nikolayenko hit an 18-year-old girl to death

People's deputy from "Batkivshchyna" Andrii Nikolayenko hit an 18-year-old girl to death with his car in the morning of November 3 on the highway Kyiv - Chop in the village of Berezivka, Zhytomyr district.

The People's Deputy confirmed the fact of the accident, which he wrote on Facebook .

It is previously known that the people's elected official was in the car with his wife.

Later , the National Police in the Zhytomyr region specified that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz GLE hit a pedestrian while moving in the direction of the town of Chop in the extreme left lane.

They confirmed that the driver was a 44-year-old resident of Kyiv Oblast, a People's Deputy of Ukraine, but did not say who exactly.

Previous legal qualification - Part 2 of Art. 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A number of relevant examinations have been appointed.

It is also reported that the SBI has started an investigation into the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident involving a people's deputy.

People's deputy Andrii Nikolayenko confirmed the accident on his Facebook page.

"Unfortunately, it's true. Today the worst thing that can happen to a driver happened to me - a person died under the wheels of the car I was driving," he wrote.

The journalists of "Schem" (Radio Liberty) with the help of the service for checking administrative violations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs found out that 40 minutes before the fatal accident, Nikolayenko was exceeding the speed limit by 52 km/h. He was fined 340 hryvnias for this.

It is reported that the car was traveling at a speed of 162 km/h, despite the established limit of 110 km/h. However, it is not known at what speed the people's deputy was driving later, at the time of the accident.
