Ukrainian air defense shot down a Russian Ka-52 in the Donetsk region.
This is reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They said that an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter of the Russian occupation forces was shot down on August 15, in Donetsk region, around 8:00 a.m., by a unit of the Air Force's anti-aircraft missile forces.
In addition, the Ukrainian military released a video of the damaged enemy air combat vehicle.
In the footage of the video, a helicopter can be seen in the air, smoking during the flight.
Also, the Air Force noted that this is the third Russian Ka-52 that was neutralized in the last two days.
"This is already the third Ka-52 of Rashistov, landed by the Defense Forces in two days!" - stressed the Command of the Air Force Base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian combat helicopter Ka-52 has the ability to carry out terrain reconnaissance, target designation and coordination of the actions of a group of combat helicopters.
The machine is capable of hitting armored and non-armored vehicles, manpower and aerial targets on the battlefield. It is a development of the Ka-50 "Black Shark" helicopter.
Despite the Ka-52 having various modern missile defense systems, the Ukrainian military has repeatedly shot down Russian attack helicopters with the help of various missile systems, even anti-tank ones.
We remind you that recently the air defense of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian reconnaissance drone .
The enemy drone "Orlan-10" was destroyed by a missile of the "Osa-AKM" anti-aircraft missile complex, on one of the actions of the front of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
