Victory is the destruction of the enemy who is on our land and the liberation of all occupied territories - Valery Zaluzhny

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Millie.

This was announced by General Valery Zaluzhny on his Facebook page.

He said: “During a telephone conversation tonight, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Millie, asked me what victory meant to us. This is a really important issue. For me, victory is the destruction of the enemy on our land and the liberation of all the territories he has captured.

He briefed General Millie on the operational situation. It remains difficult, but our mood is combative and we are focused only on Victory.

I also emphasized the continued use of strategic cruise missiles by the enemy. Every day, the enemy launches 10 to 14 cruise missiles at civilian infrastructure. Recently, Russia has resorted to tactics of massive use of supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles of the X-22 type at these facilities. So, last night on the Kremenchug oil refinery the enemy used 12 cruise missiles, two of which managed to shoot down Stinger's MANPADS. One of the reasons for the enemy's transition to this tactic is the refusal to use aircraft, which incurs heavy losses. "

"A telephone conversation with General Millie is another opportunity to thank the people and the US Government for their assistance, as well as an opportunity to assure that we maintain strict records and control over the use of the material provided. We are ready to share all the materials with the Embassy of the United States as soon as it returns to Ukraine, "said General Valery Zaluzhny.
