The paratroopers probably killed the infamous Russian aviation general
Ukrainian paratroopers probably shot down a plane piloted by a Russian general over Luhansk region. This follows a discussion in one of the communities in the Russian segment on military aviation.
The administrator of the telegram channel posted a post in which he hinted at the death of a high-ranking pilot.
After that, community members began to find out in the comments who died. One of the participants in the discussion told the details: “ Kanamat died today !!! Popasna District, 8:25… The first NAR event, the second - bombs… Stinger on the way out of the attack, an explosion in the air and… Everything ”
The administrator has deleted this comment. However, other participants continued the discussion using the initials - K. H. B.
Probably, the deceased mentioned by the Russians is Kanamat Huseevich Botashev - Major General of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, born in 1959.
However, Botashev was released from the army in 2013. Botashev was a participant in a criminal case. He was accused of destroying a Su-27 fighter jet.
According to Novaya Gazeta, Botashev arrived at military unit 23326-2 in 2012, where he asked its commander, Yevhen Oliynyk, his comrade, to "ride" a Su-27UB. Botashev sat in the co-pilot's seat and together with Oliynyk they performed several maneuvers in the air. However, Botashev wanted to perform aerobatics "bell", after which the pilots lost control of the car and ejected. They were both fired from the army.
Prior to that, Botashev commanded the Baltimore Air Base in Voronezh. Previously, Su-24 bombers and MiG-25 interceptors were based there. Today - Su-34 bombers.
After his release, before the war Botashev worked in the DOSAAF of the Russian Federation as deputy director of the aeroclub in St. Petersburg.
The probable death of a 63-year-old retired major general at the helm of a Su-25 fighter jet is surprising. It is unclear in what status he took part in hostilities.
It is possible that Botyshev became a mercenary at Wagner. A telegram channel connected with Wagner reported on May 10 that it had its own assault aircraft: “ Rumors about aviation over Popasna with unconventional markings for the Russian Air Force and the Ukrainian Air Force did appear. There is a trend towards car sharing in the world now, the "orchestra" has been using plainsharing for a long time, who knows about it.
We will remind, on May 22, 2022 the Ukrainian paratroopers reported about the destroyed Su-25 . At the same time, the 80th DShV brigade used the Igla MANPADS.
