The air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a helicopter of the Russian army.
This was reported in the Operational Command "North".
It is reported that the Russian aircraft was shot down in Donbass.
" Another enemy helicopter has found its last stop in the Donbass ," the military said.
The exact model of the downed car and the unit that hit the Russian helicopter have not been established yet.
Presumably, the Russian helicopter was hit by a portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS).
The Ukrainian forces are armed with Soviet Igla anti-aircraft missile systems.
American portable anti-aircraft missile systems "Stinger" with an infrared homing head are also in service.
The Ukrainian military has the latest British portable anti-aircraft missile systems "Martlet" and "Starstreak".
The Martlet complex has a universal small-sized guided light missile (LMM).
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also received Mistral portable anti-aircraft missile systems.
Mobile groups with Mistral MANPADS are already being set up in Ukraine.
